Acesse o artigo publicado : Strain-Specific Reduction of Ndel1 Enzymatic Activity During Early Zika Virus Infection in the Neonatal Brain
Our results demonstrate that Ndel1 downregulation is not a conserved feature of flavivirus infection, nor a universal response to ZIKV, but rather a strain-specific signature of ZIKVBR-induced neuropathogenesis. While both ZIKV strains elicited robust inflammatory and interferon responses, only ZIKVBR infection led to a consistent reduction in Ndel1 enzymatic activity, an effect that was independent of route of infection, dissociated from transcriptional regulation, and not recapitulated by DENV or ZIKVAF under identical experimental conditions.
